Role: Test Engineer
Location: Frankfurt am Main / Nearshore
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Quality / Test Engineer for a cloud-based project within an Agile Release Train (ART). The role focuses on end-to-end test coordination, quality assurance, test strategy, automation, and modern testing methods.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and advise project teams on test concepts and test strategies within an Agile Release Train and cloud environment.
Coordinate cross-project/end-to-end testing activities.
Provide methodological guidance on test methods, test specifications and documentation.
Support manual, automated, load and performance testing.
Create, execute, evaluate, maintain and document automated technical and functional test cases across all testing levels.
Ensure the quality of test automation, manual testing, load and performance testing.
Design and implement test data management for preparation, protection and reset of test data across different cloud stages.
Mandatory Requirements:
5 years of senior-level experience developing, implementing and continuously improving test strategies and test concepts in complex multi-system environments.
3 years as a Test Manager or Lead QA responsible for managing/leading at least 3 QA professionals.
Proven responsibility for implementing or improving modern test automation solutions, demonstrated through 2 project references.
3 years of experience defining and using quality metrics and KPIs to manage and optimize testing processes.
Experience with AI-supported testing/quality processes, such as:
AI-based test case generation
Intelligent test prioritization
Anomaly detection
Nice-to-Have Requirements:
ISTQB Test Manager (CTAL-TM) or equivalent certification.
3 years of experience with Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum or Kanban.
Experience with test management/automation tools such as:
Jira / Xray
Playwright
Selenium
Karate
Experience in transport \& logistics or another regulated industry.
3 years of API testing experience with tools such as Swagger UI, Postman or Thunder Client.
Knowledge of modern architectures and their impact on testability, including Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture.
